The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County slipped one-tenth of a cent Sunday to $4.715.
The average price is eight-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, but 1.8 cents more than one month ago and 12 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased $1.778 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022, including one-tenth of a cent Wednesday.
The Orange County average price inched up one-tenth of a cent to $4.684. It is 1.1 cents less than one week ago, but four-tenths of a cent more than one month ago and 15.3 cents more than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped $1.774 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the 10th time in 11 days, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.083. It is 5 cents less than one week ago, 10.5 cents less than one month ago and 12.1 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.933 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
