BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A multi-agency investigation led to the arrest of four people after authorities allegedly found guns, marijuana plants, and cash during four search warrants.

The Bakersfield Police Department said after the investigation on Thursday, January 22, 2026, 25-year-old Raul Armas Arreola, 18-year-old Kevin Alberto Avalos, 46-year-old Troy Hines, and 57-year-old Felipe Andrade were taken into custody and booked on multiple marijuana sales and firearm-related charges.

The coordinated investigation included Bakersfield Police Department (BPD) narcotics detectives, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents, and California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers assigned to the DEA Task Force.

Police said the collaboration identified four locations and the four suspects.

With the support of BPD’s Violent Crime Apprehension Team (VCAT), SWAT, and Special Enforcement Unit (SEU), Kern County District Attorney investigators, and CHP officers, search warrants were served, resulting in the seizure of:

1100 block of Lomita Drive: 12 firearms (2 reported stolen), 649 marijuana plants, 30 lbs. of processed marijuana, 15 grams of mushrooms, and $2,10012200 block of Stonington Street: 372 marijuana plants, 120 lbs. of processed marijuana and 1 firearm900 block of 8th Street: 2,500 marijuana plants and 2 firearms700 block of 30th Street: 1,064 marijuana plants
