BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — An enforcement operation in Oildale ended with 17 arrests, a stolen vehicle recovered, and about four tons of waste and debris removed.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said on January 23, 2026, deputies, along with members of Kern County Code Compliance, Kern County Mental Health, and Flood Ministries, conducted direct enforcement in the Oildale area.
KCSO said during the operation, eight felony and nine misdemeanor arrests were made.
Deputies also recovered a stolen vehicle.
Deputies assisted Kern County Code Compliance by removing about four tons of waste and debris from the area.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said in a release that the department “remains committed to working collaboratively with county partners and community organizations to address public safety concerns, reduce crime, and improve quality of life for residents throughout Kern County.”
