A San Bernardino County man was arrested for allegedly trying to break into a young girl’s bedroom through a window.
The suspect was identified as Patrick Grady Alexander, 53, of Yucaipa, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
On Jan. 22, deputies responded to a home on the 13000 block of 2nd Street in Yucaipa just before midnight.
The young victim told investigators that she awoke to find the suspect reaching inside her bedroom window and attempting to touch her leg. She ran out of the room to notify her parents.
Patrick Grady Alexander, 53, of Yucaipa, is seen in a booking photo from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The girl’s father ran outside and found Alexander hiding in their backyard. He detained the man as he waited for authorities to arrive.
Following an investigation, deputies learned that Alexander lives next door to the victim and had managed to open her bedroom window using a tool that deputies found on him.
He was arrested for residential burglary and was booked into the Central Detention Center where he is being held on $100,000 bail.
“Detectives believe additional victims may exist and are releasing his photo,” authorities said.
Anyone who may have been victimized by Alexander or has information on the case is asked to call SBSD’s Yucaipa Station at 909-918-2305.
