(KRON) — A vehicle was shot during an act of road rage in San Jose Thursday night, according to police.

The suspect drove away from the shooting and officers with the San Jose Police Department began working to track down the vehicle.

“The SJPD Real Time Intelligence Center immediately jumped into action to assist patrol officers in locating the armed driver,” SJPD said. “By reviewing Public Safety Camera footage and utilizing Automated License Plate Reader cameras, RTIC analysts quickly identified the suspect vehicle.”

1 killed in Sonoma County crash

Officers pulled over the suspect’s vehicle and detained two people. Officers allegedly found a handgun while searching the vehicle. The driver, who is prohibited from owning a gun, was arrested on multiple gun charges.
