SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego Museum Month is just around the corner, and for 28 days, you’ll be able to enjoy half off at more than 70 museums in the county.

Starting Jan. 28, you can pick up a free printed Museum Month pass at any San Diego City or County public library.

There are also five library locations in Imperial County, as well as some educational libraries, where you can pick up the pass.

If you prefer to do things digitally, you can also download a digital pass on your phone starting on Feb. 1.

The discount card gets you half-price admission at Balboa Park museums, Downtown San Diego museums and some museums in Liberty Station and North County.

It can also be used at the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla, the Living Coast Discovery Center in the South Bay and the Whaley House in Old Town.

This year some cultural institutions across the border are also participating, including the Tijuana History Museum and Museo de La Lucha Libre Mexicana in Tijuana.

The pass is valid from Feb. 1-28 and can be used for up to four people during the same visit.
