BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department is inviting the public to share their thoughts on what they would like to see in the next BPD chief in a virtual discussion.

On Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, City Manager Christian Clegg and the city will host the virtual listening session via Microsoft Teams.

It is set to begin at 6 p.m. According to officials, three candidates have already been interviewed for the position.
