Reported gunfire, booby traps in Rancho Cordova neighborhood, Sacramento sheriff says

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said it received reports of gunfire and booby traps in a Rancho Cordova neighborhood on Tuesday. A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said they got a call from a person who reported hearing gunshots in a neighborhood on Copper Sunset Way in Rancho Cordova. Shortly afterward, another caller claimed he was the one who fired the gun and that he was also placing booby traps.Multiple deputies are on the way to investigate the scene. Scanner traffic indicates that multiple homes may have been evacuated.This is a developing story.
