COMING UP. NOW, BACK OVER TO YOU. CECIL DIRK. THANK YOU. WE CONTINUE OUR TEAM COVERAGE WITH KCRA 3’S IN CORTEZ. HE’S LIVE IN SACRAMENTO WITH WHAT PEOPLE ARE DOING TO GET READY. DENTON. YEAH, THEY’RE GEARING UP FOR THOSE WET WEATHER COMING IN TOMORROW. WE SAW A LOT OF PEOPLE GETTING IN SOME LAST MINUTE YARD WORK, CLEARING OUT THEIR GUTTERS, CLEARING OUT THE STORM DRAINS, BUT ALSO REPLACING WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND DRY ROT TIRES FROM OVER THE SUMMER, ALL IN PREPARATION FOR THE RAINFALL TOMORROW. THE SKIES ARE WHISPERING A WARNING OVER NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, AND PEOPLE ARE GEARING UP TO TURN THAT WHISPER INTO READINESS. THERE’S A LOT OF DRY ROT ON THE TIRES BECAUSE OF THE SUMMER SEASON AT BLUE STAR TIRES, IT’S A RUSH TO BEAT THE STORM. MECHANICS REPLACING TIRES AND CHECKING WIPER BLADES SO DRIVERS ARE READY FOR RAIN AND WET ROADS. WE GOT TO MAKE SURE YOU DO. GOT GOOD TIRES TO BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND THOSE THE HYDROPLANING. IF NOT, THEN YOU’D HAVE SOME CONSEQUENCES. AMONG THOSE TUNING UP TRAVELERS HEADING TO THE SIERRA. I WOULD FIX MY. DEFROSTER. THAT’S PRETTY IMPORTANT FOR VISIBILITY. I COULD USE SOME NEW WIPERS, BUT I’M GOING TO RISK IT ON THAT RIGHT NOW. WITH THE FIRST STORM OF THE SEASON IN THE FORECAST, THE PREP LOOKS A LITTLE DIFFERENT IN THE NEIGHBORHOODS. HOMEOWNERS LIKE EDDIE ENRIQUEZ GETTING IN SOME LAST MINUTE YARD WORK AND CLEARING STORM DRAINS BEFORE THE FIRST DROPS START TO FALL. WELL, THIS ONE GETS PRETTY WET OUT HERE AND I WON’T BE ABLE TO MOW IT. AND I WORK THE REST OF THE WEEK, SO SUNDAYS AND MONDAYS ARE MY ONLY DAY. BECAUSE WHETHER YOU PLAN TO DRIVE OR JUST MOWING BEFORE THE RAIN, SMALL STEPS NOW CAN SAVE BIG HEADACHES LATER. GUTTERS NEED SOME UPKEEP, BUT HOPEFULLY WE MAKE IT THROUGH THIS WINTER. IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE ONE OF THE BRAVE SOULS DRIVING THROUGH THE STORM TOMORROW, JUST MAKE SURE TO DRIVE AT A SAFE SPEED, ESPECIALLY WITH THIS FIRST RAINFALL HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BRING OUT GRIME AND OIL, MAKING THINGS MUCH MORE SLIPPERY, ESPECIALLY WITH THE RAINFALL. If not, then you’d have some consequences.”Travelers heading to the Sierra are also making preparations. Traveler Andres Martin, hoping to beat the snowfall, took his car in for some tune-ups before the trip.”I just got my car fixed here at this fine establishment.
