SAN DIEGO – Sophomore Keira Doyle-Odenbach has been named to the 2026 Preseason All-Big 12 Lacrosse Team, the conference announced on Wednesday. The midfielder out of Orland Park, Ill. is one of 18 student-athletes on the all-conference team.

Doyle-Odenbach is coming off a stellar freshman campaign, leading the Aztecs in draw controls with 54 on the year, tying Christina Ricciardulli for the ninth-most by an Aztec in a single season, originally set in 2014. She also picked up 32 ground balls, which was the second-most during the 2025 season. She was an important factor in the Aztec offense, amassing 16 goals and seven assists. In games vs. Winthrop and Wofford, the freshman combined for two goals, one assist, seven draw controls, four caused turnovers and two ground balls, which earned her Big 12 Freshman of the Week accolades. She also earned Big 12 All Newcomer honors.

“I’m thrilled for Keira to be recognized for how hard she works and how much she’s committed to her game and to this team,” said Head Coach Kylee White. “As a sophomore, to earn this recognition is incredible. She’s such a great team player and she has so much talent. The other girls really trust her and look to her to make them better. She’s a great example of what our team culture is all about.”

Doyle-Odenbach will help lead the Aztecs through their second year in the Big 12, which unofficially gets underway this Saturday at noon in an exhibition game vs. Pomona-Pitzer. The Aztecs will then host California in their season opener at 6 p.m. PT on Friday, Feb. 6 at Snapdragon Stadium.
