One of the great things about Coronado is the wildlife that lives here. ‘Pink Floyd’ is a flamingo. He’s an exotic, escapee bird living wild and free in the waters near the Cays.
He’s not the only one.
I heard that Floyd has company. So…now there are two flamingos that forage together out there?
WOW, I thought.
So, Floyd has a girlfriend!
I asked what his ‘Pretty in Pink’ girlfriend’s name was.
A Cay’s resident told me, “Well, it’s Barbie… of course!” She said that it was because she showed up about the same time the movie did.
That made me laugh.
I wonder if the Film Festival people are gonna put pink flamingo ‘star stickers’ on the sidewalk for them this year?
