A new Chick-fil-A restaurant is coming to Clovis, continuing development along the Shaw Avenue corridor between Clovis and Willow avenues.
The new restaurant, which recently broke ground, was first announced in January by the Fresno Bee, and looks to include a nearly 5,000-square-foot restaurant with a double-lane drive-thru located near the corner of Shaw and Helm avenues.
Fencing around the construction site went up last week.
“The City of Clovis is thrilled that Chik-fil-A has selected Clovis for its next location in the Central Valley,” said Clovis Economic Development, Housing and Communications Director Chad McCollum. “When completed, the new restaurant will not only serve great food, but provide good paying jobs and be an economic catalyst for that section of Shaw Avenue.”
Chick-fil-A has two other locations nearby, both in Fresno, with one located near Fashion Fair Mall and the other, recently renovated location, at the corner of Blackstone and Nees avenues near River Park. They are operated by Sonja Middleton.
Visalia is also getting a Chick-fil-A restaurant, with plans for the restaurant coinciding with plans for a nearby Sam’s Club at “Visalia Commons” on Mooney Boulevard. Additionally, social media buzz about a Tulare location has circulated around several online forums, including Facebook.
