On Saturday, March 14, San Francisco will once again turn a little greener, louder and more joyful as the Annual San Francisco St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl returns for its biggest day of celebration. Produced by CrawlSF and now in its second decade, the event has become a defining part of the city’s St. Patrick’s Day tradition. It welcomes more than 15,000 people each year to neighborhoods from Polk Street to the Marina.

Running from 2PM to 10PM, the crawl offers a full afternoon and evening of St. Patrick’s Day party time. It is a coordinated, citywide experience that blends Irish-themed festivities with San Francisco’s bar scene.

Participants will make their way through a long list of popular bars and nightlife spots, including R Bar, Decodance, Lush Lounge, Union Street Ale House, Silver Cloud, The Blue Light, Kung Fu Action Theater, Jaxson, Route 101, Mayes Oyster House, Rick & Roxy’s, El Lopo, White Rabbit, Shanghai Kelly’s, Amsterdam Cafe, Comet Club, McTeague’s, The Buccaneer, Wreck Room, and many more.

To make traveling between areas easy, free party bus shuttles are included with Saturday tickets, allowing you to hop between Polk Street, North Beach, and the Marina without worrying about transportation.

While pub crawls are common in many cities, this one stands out because it is massive. Now more than ten years running, the San Francisco St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl has grown into a multi-day tradition, with additional events on March 13 and March 17. Still, Saturday, March 14 is the big one.

The event attracts a wide mix of locals, longtime participants & visitors, many dressed in green, festive accessories, and creative interpretations of Irish-inspired style. Dressing up is definitely not required, but everything is more fun in a costume.

The San Francisco St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl captures something rare. It’s a large-scale event that still feels personal. Amid thousands of people, you can jump on a party bus, throw back some cheap drinks, dance and even hunt for some hidden gnomes. Not bad for one day of fun.
