Two cats were killed in a fire in a mobile home in San Bernardino Monday afternoon.
The blaze in the 3700 block of East Pacific Street was reported just before 12:15 p.m., and though firefighters knocked it down in under 15 minutes, two cats were found dead inside, the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District said on social media.

No firefighters or civilians were hurt — the residents weren’t home at the time — and the fire was stopped before it could spread to nearby structures.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
