LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State (2-2, 1-0 Big West) returns to action on Friday with a home match against Loyola Marymount at the Rhodes Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. The meeting will be the first of two matches this week against nonconference opponents.
The Beach will then travel south on Sunday for a road matchup at San Diego State. The contest is set for 1 p.m. in San Diego, as Long Beach State closes the week against the Aztecs.
The Long Beach State women’s tennis team enters the week with a 2-2 overall record after splitting a pair of matches last week, highlighted by the program’s first Big West victory of the season against UC Riverside.
The Beach opened conference play with a strong performance against UCR, securing the 5-2 win on the road before falling to Grand Canyon 4-3 to close the week at home.
Both upcoming matches provide additional opportunities for the Beach to build momentum as the season progresses and conference play continues.
