BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A 52-year-old man was arrested after a search led authorities to allegedly find drugs, guns, and thousands of dollars at his southeast Bakersfield home.
The Bakersfield Police Department said on Monday, October 20, 2025, a coordinated investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies, lead to the arrest of 52-year-old Mario Flores for multiple charges related to drug trafficking and firearms violations.
Kern County District Attorney investigators, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents, and detectives from the Bakersfield Police Department’s (BPD) Major Narcotics Unit, with the help of the BPD’s Special Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at his home in southeast Bakersfield.
Police said at the home, they seized about 2.4 pounds of cocaine, three handguns and $32,900.
Flores was initially stopped for a vehicle enforcement stop and found to be in possession of about 14 individually wrapped clear plastic baggies containing suspected cocaine.
