FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Californians who missed the deadline to register to vote still have a chance to register before the special election.
Voters had the opportunity to register or update their information online on Monday.
However, participants who missed the chance can register through “Same Day” or “Conditional” voter registration.
By visiting the local county election office or any in-person voting location, participants can obtain a voter registration form.
Once the form has been filled out, a ballot will be provided and then counted once the county has completed the verification process.
Same-Day registration is available until the special election on November 4th.
California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber said, “California has one of the most voter-friendly systems in the country even if you missed the deadline to register online to vote, you have options. “Don’t sit out this election, your vote is your voice and you can still be heard.”
