Let us know what questions you have about the 2025 special election on redistricting, and we’ll answer them in real-time during our second-ever AMA — shorthand for “Ask Me Anything” — on the social platform Reddit on Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 5-6 p.m.
Orange County Register’s politics editor Kaitlyn Schallhorn will be joined by Bob Page, Orange County’s registrar of voters. Since 2022, it’s been Page’s job to oversee election services for Orange County residents and ensure the voting process is safe and fair.
Page and Schallhorn are ready to answer your questions about the special election and voting — from how to ensure you’re registered to vote to what safeguards are in place to ensure your ballot is protected, from breaking down what’s on your ballot to offering a behind-the-scenes look at how ballots are counted, and more.
Ask Me Anythings have become a common practice on Reddit and provide a platform for experts to answer questions from the community live. It works like this: We’ll post in r/orangecounty, the platform’s primary subreddit for residents of Orange County, and you’ll be able to ask your questions under the post.
For an hour, Schallhorn and Page will be answering questions live. In order to participate, you must be signed into Reddit. To create an account, visit www.reddit.com and sign up for free. Then, visit www.reddit.com/r/orangecounty/ to find the live AMA.
You can find the AMA here. Feel free to send us questions beforehand, and we’ll get to them once we’re officially live.
If you miss our AMA, you can always submit questions via our election question form, which will be live until Nov. 4.
