House and Senate can’t get their acts together – San Diego Union-Tribune

Re “Shutdown of DHS looms as senators leave D.C.” (Feb. 6): So the Senate passes the funding bill for five departments and attaches strings to the Department of Homeland Security funding, while all the House members are in their home districts. And now the Senate is in recess, guaranteeing no funding compromise for DHS for at least a week. And they’re all getting paid to be dysfunctional!
