Deckman’s North, chef Drew Deckman’s 18-month-old North Park restaurant, introduced a prix-fixe weekday lunch service on Monday.

The three-course, $49 Business Lunch service is offered from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays-Fridays. Reservations are available but walk-ins are welcome. The menu offers multiple options for each course of the prix-fixe menu, and there’s also a menu of a la carte items.

“Lunch in our neighborhood should feel generous, grounded, and easy to say ‘yes’ to,” Deckman said. “This is a set menu with real choice—built around live fire touches, Baja oysters, and the best of what our local growers and fisherpeople are bringing in right now.”

The Business Lunch menu highlights winter produce, coastal seafood and comfort-forward staples. There’s also a selection of Baja and Santa Barbara wines and agave-forward cocktails.

Starters on the three-course menu include a winter greens/roasted beet salad, smoked carrot and ginger soup and roasted oysters. Entrées include rockfish with cauliflower purée and roasted vegetables, herbed pork loin with Swiss chard and fingerling potatoes, and San Diego County-grown vegetables with quinoa and charred scallion vinaigrette. The third course offers a daily dessert or house ice cream.

A la carte items include Baja oysters, Black Hat Bakery sourdough, a daily ceviche selection and the Carter Country Regenerative Beef cheeseburger with seaweed aioli and beef tallow fries.

Deckman’s North is at 3131 University Ave., San Diego. 619-735-3761, the3131.com.
