SACRAMENTO — A Sacramento County jail inmate died over the weekend, according to authorities.
Deputies found the 40-year-old man, who was housed in the main jail, suffering from an apparent seizure around 6 p.m. Friday, authorities said. He was taken to a hospital and underwent surgery Sunday evening, but died later that night, according to authorities.
The sheriff’s office will conduct an inmate death investigation, authorities said, with the county coroner’s office determining the cause of death.
