SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Gonzaga Bulldogs (19-7, 11-2) pulled off a tighter-than-expected win over the San Diego Toreros (9-18, 3-11), 66-56.

The Zags beat the Toreros by 45 in their Spokane meeting, but struggled from three-point shooting and committing 19 turnovers.

Lauren Whittaker had another standout night with 19 points and 12 rebounds, helped by Zeryhia Aokuso’s 12 points on 5-9 shooting.

Gonzaga next plays WCC second-place LMU Lions on Saturday in Los Angeles at 2:00 p.m.
