Chef Chris Bianco’s Downtown Los Angeles restaurant, Pizzeria Bianco, beams. With floor-to-ceiling windows, a long and welcoming dining room, fresh miniature flowers on each table, and an uncomplicated menu, Bianco — a 2022 transplant of the lauded Phoenix, Arizona pizzeria — remains consistently a place where you can find one of the region’s most precise pizza crusts. Stationed in the expansive mixed-use ROW on Alameda Street between Olympic and Seventh, it becomes a good place to plan around a lengthy Downtown hangout. Walking the ROW complex can be an experience itself with its massive industrial buildings, retail shops, and Smorgasburg every Sunday. After wandering for a bit, ducking into Bianco feels like a respite from the prismatic ROW stimuli: marked by blistered wood-fired pizzas, a glass of Lambrusco, and honeyed olive oil cake.

The room attracts all types, but Pizzeria Bianco feels casual and easy. You will feel comfortable settling in, whether perched alone on the patio or among a group of eight at a custom interior booth.

Rejoice: Parking at ROW is free for the first two hours.
