Water main break in central Fresno wasn’t weather-related, city says

A water main break that caused flooding in central Fresno was not because of the recent storms, according to city officials.

City crews are working to repair it at Fisher and Olive Avenue, just east of First Street.

Water is now running for residents after being shut off Monday due to flooding that closed the street.

At last check, Olive remains closed at Bond in both directions.

The city confirms the break was not storm-related and was due to infrastructure issues.
