FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — One of Fresno’s very own vegan restaurants is getting some recognition from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
Planet Vegan Burgers was listed as one of the 58 “Must-Try Black-Owned Vegan Spots” in the United States, and the only one from the Central Valley.
This was part of PETA’s efforts to recognize the eateries as part of Black History Month.
Planet Vegan started off as a food truck in 2019 before a major setback hit the business in 2022 when the food truck exploded.
The restaurant then found a permanent home in 2024 in the Park Place Shopping Center on Palm and Nees avenues.
Planet Vegan thanked its customers after receiving the recognition.
