On Feb. 11, the Samuel Lawrence Foundation kicked off a new lecture series, Science on Tap. The events, hosted at The Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, bring the community together for thought-provoking talks delivered by experts.

The inaugural event featured Hot Globe climate journalist and bestselling author Steve Chapple who led an unfiltered conversation on climate, politics, and where we are right now, according to a news release.

The Samuel Lawrence Foundation advocates for a nuclear waste free beach at San Onofre, while fostering meaningful connection through expanded access to science, education, and the arts, the news release stated.
