A sexual battery suspect was hospitalized Saturday after a passerby happened upon the scene in Spring Valley and intervened as two women were being attacked, authorities said.
Deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3100 block of Bancroft Drive shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday and arrested Andres Sandoval, 47, who was injured during an altercation with the person who intervened, according to SDSO Sgt. Timothy Clark.
“During the assault, one of the victims sustained a minor injury and was evaluated by paramedics on scene,” Clark said. “Sandoval was injured during the altercation with the passerby and was transported to a hospital for medical treatment.”
