BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who was shot and killed in southeast Bakersfield during a series of shootings as 40-year-old Francisco Camacho of Delano.
Bakersfield police said three shootings that happened on Wednesday, February 18, are believed to be connected.

The first shooting happened in the area of Frank J. Fletcher Street and William F. Halsey Avenue.
Officers found Camacho suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second shooting happened minutes later near Golden Valley High School. In that incident, one man suffered moderate injuries.

The last shooting happened in the 4100 block of Pioneer Drive. In that incident, another man was found with moderate injuries.
Police has not released information on a suspect.
