INVESTIGATORS HAVE NOT IDENTIFIED THE THREE PEOPLE WHO TOOK HIM. SACRAMENTO SHERIFF JIM COOPER IS WARNING PEOPLE ABOUT THE RELEASE OF A MAN WHO WAS CONVICTED OF KIDNAPING AND CHILD MOLESTATION. AND THAT MAN IS DAVID ALLEN FUNSTON. HERE IS HIS PICTURE. SHERIFF COOPER SAYS THAT FUNSTON WAS SENTENCED TO THREE CONSECUTIVE 20 YEAR TERMS, AND SHOULD HAVE SPENT THE REST OF HIS LIFE IN PRISON. BUT NOW, AT 64 YEARS OLD, HE IS ELIGIBLE FOR CALIFORNIA’S ELDERLY PAROLE PROGRAM. AND TODAY, SHERIFF COOPER MADE IT CLEAR THAT HE DOES NOT WANT TO SEE FUNSTON BACK ON THE STREETS AND IN CALIFORNIA. BATTLE AFTER BATTLE. WHEN IT COMES TO OUR CHILDREN, A FEW YEARS AGO, WE WERE FIGHTING HUMAN TRAFFICKING OF A CHILD THAT WASN’T A VIOLENT FELONY, HAD TO FIGHT TO GET IT PASSED. THEY GOT IT PASSED.
