The Town is fresh off celebrating Black culture with last weekend’s Black Joy Parade, and this weekend features the final events of Black History Month. There’s a family-friendly celebration at the East Oakland Youth Development Center in deep East. The African American Quilt Guild is hosting an event at the West Oakland Library for quilters, sewers, and craft enthusiasts. And the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir is offering a free show.

We want to know what kind of events you want to hear about. If you would like us to consider an event for this weekly list, please email me at azucena@oaklandside.org. You can also use the self-submission form on our events page to add it to our calendar for free.
