DURHAM, N.C. – Saint Mary’s first baseman Makoa Sniffen was named to this week’s Baseball America Team of the Week after his six-hit, three-home run and nine RBI performance against CSUN last weekend. 

Sniffen ended his three-game series with CSUN with a .455 batting average, 1.364 slugging percentage, five hits, three home runs and nine RBI. His weekend also consisted of a two-homer performance in the series finale where he recorded a career high three hits and five RBI en route to the Gaels’ 12-0 victory. Sniffen was one of just three mid-major players selected to the Team of the Week along with Griffin Naess from Cal Poly and Evan Dempsey from Florida Gulf Coast.
