BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Pet owners in Ridgecrest and nearby communities will soon have a chance to get low-cost spay and neuter services for young cats and dogs through Kern County Animal Services.
The clinic is open to residents in Ridgecrest, Inyokern, Buttermilk Acres, Randsburg and Johannesburg. Cats or dogs must be between two and seven months old to qualify.
A $20 copay includes the spay or neuter surgery, a DHPP/FVRCP vaccine and microchipping, officials said.
Clinics will be held this month, March and April, but specific dates are still pending because they depend on funding.
