(FOX40.COM) — Sacramento’s friendliest neighborhood is Pocket, a new report claims.
This week, the hyper-local social network Nextdoor released a list of the city’s friendliest neighborhoods, “based on how Sacramento residents actually interact with one another” — on the website.
The company analyzed how residents help each other, welcome newcomers, share resources and support local businesses, a spokesperson said.
“When people are considering where to live in Sacramento, they want to know more than just the statistics — they want to understand what it’s really like to be part of that community,” said Kelsey Grady, Nextdoor’s chief communications officer, said in a news release. “Nextdoor is uniquely positioned to analyze neighborhoods based on real neighbor interactions to shed light on traits that make communities truly thrive.”
Pocket is a neighborhood southwest of downtown Sacramento, between Interstate 5 and a bend of the Sacramento River.

To calculate the rankings, Nextdoor considered factors including posts with a positive or negative tone, fulfilled requests for help and “posts expressing neighborhood pride or dissatisfaction.”
