BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Clinica Sierra Vista opened a new health center in northwest Bakersfield on Thursday, marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony held in the afternoon.
The new center is located at 8307 Brimhall Road, Suite 1702. The organization said the site was selected to keep up with the city’s westward growth and to be easily accessible just off the Westside Parkway.
“Our focus is to care for the underserved, no matter where they are. The city has grown west exponentially,” said Olga Meave, M.D., CEO of Clinica Sierra Vista.
“I don’t think we are meeting the needs of the underserved patients who live on the west side of town. This clinic is an attempt to fill that gap.”
The center will offer same-day appointments, primary care, dental services and behavioral health services. It accepts all insurance, including Medi-Cal.
