But they were shocked a couple of weeks ago when Cristina got a 1099 tax form from Uber.
The form is typically sent to people who work as freelancers or contractors, but Cristina said she’s never driven for Uber.
“When I opened the form, I saw that it was her name, addressed to her, last two digits of her social security number,” Patrick Lennon said. “So, we were pretty concerned.”

Patrick and Cristina Lennon reached out to Uber after Cristina got two 1099 tax forms from the rideshare company. She says she’s never driven for them, and Uber responded to the couple, saying they “found signs of identity theft.”
