VidCon and “Gorilla Tag,” the virtual reality game developed by Another Axiom LLC, will debut GorillaCon at the Anaheim Convention Center June 25-27, 2026, marking the first official live event built around the game’s player and creator community.
GorillaCon will occupy a dedicated 3,000-square-foot space on the Expo Hall floor. Attendees must hold a VidCon pass in the Multi-Day, Creator, or Pro tier and purchase a separate GorillaCon add-on ticket. The event is open to all ages and takes place at an accessibility-friendly venue.
What Attendees Can Expect
Ticketed guests will have access to “Gorilla Tag” creators, merchandise, panel programming, raffles, prizes, and music. The event will also feature sneak peeks of upcoming content for “Gorilla World,” the game’s broader universe. The developer of “Gorilla Tag,” known as Lemming, will make an appearance at the event.
“We’ve always wanted to celebrate Gorilla Tag by bringing together the fans, the community, the creators, and the team that works on the game all in one place and share our love for Gorilla Tag,” said Jake Zim, CMO and Head of Monke Business. “We’ve heard from fans for years that we should have our own convention, and so we’re thrilled to be partnering with VidCon, the best in the business, to produce this live immersive event and bring Gorilla World to life.”
Creator Economy Angle
VidCon attributed Gorilla Tag’s growth largely to creators and streamers who have built communities around the game across social platforms since its 2021 launch. Sarah Tortoreti, VP of VidCon, said the partnership reflects the event’s broader mission.
“VidCon has a long history of bringing online communities together in real life, and we’re thrilled to partner with the Gorilla Tag team to introduce the first-ever GorillaCon,” Tortoreti said. “For our attendees, this is an opportunity to connect with their favorite creators and the Gorilla Tag community in a new, immersive way.”
