The Sacramento Police Department arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting last week in South Natomas, police said.

Ray Howard, 27, was arrested on homicide and firearm-related charges, the Police Department announced on social media.

Police received a call on Feb. 20 shortly before 9 p.m. stating that there was a shooting near Domino’s Pizza on West El Camino Avenue.

Officers found one male victim with a gunshot wound, according to Police Department spokesperson Officer Allison Smith. She said the victim was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

Howard was booked Friday into the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he is ineligible for bail, online jail records show. He is scheduled to appear in Sacramento Superior Court on Tuesday.
