Authorities are investigating a man’s death in Caruthers after he was found injured on the ground Thursday morning, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies responded around 7 a.m. to the area of Oak and Tahoe avenues after someone reported finding the man.
Emergency medical personnel also arrived, but the man died at the scene, officials said.
The nature of his injuries remains unclear, and the death is being treated as questionable, authorities said.
Deputies are interviewing people in the area and working to identify the victim.
