Report of burglary in progress leads to arrest in northwest Bakersfield

Police arrested a 43-year-old man Wednesday evening on suspicion of attempted burglary at a home in northwest Bakersfield.

Roque Cruz was taken into custody after the Bakersfield Police Department responded at about 6:05 p.m. to a call about an unknown person entering a home in the 10000 block of Panther Falls Avenue, the agency reported.

A BPD news release said officers cleared the home and found Cruz.
