Two Injured in Crash on McKinley Avenue in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (February 28, 2026) — The Fresno Police Department is searching for a hit-and-run suspect who led officers on a pursuit that ended in a crash on McKinley Avenue and Fruit Avenue shortly before midnight Friday.
Officers attempted to pull over a driver for multiple traffic violations. Instead of stopping, the driver sped away, prompting a pursuit.
During the chase, the suspect crashed into another vehicle carrying two occupants. Emergency responders transported both individuals to Community Regional Medical Center.Â
Authorities reported that the victims are expected to recover from their injuries.
After the collision, the driver who initiated the pursuit fled the scene on foot.Â
Police described the suspect as a Black man in his early 20s wearing dark clothing.
Officers detained two passengers who were inside the suspect’s vehicle.Â
Investigators continue to search for the driver and are asking anyone with information to contact the Fresno Police Department.
