FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Lee’s Air, Heating & Plumbing announced that they have appointed Derek Franks as their new Chief Operating Officer.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The video above is from a previous broadcast and will be updated.

Franks joins the local HVAC company’s leaders after serving as President and General Manager of the Fresno Grizzlies since 2018.

His journey with the Grizzlies goes further than 2018. He started as an intern with the team back in 2004 and worked his way up the corporate ladder.

He has done it all for the Grizzlies, even donning the “Wild Thing” mascot costume, the former mascot of the Fresno Grizzlies.

During his tenure with the Fresno Grizzlies, Franks led the organization through major events, including ownership transitions, community partnerships with local businesses and significant stadium improvements.

His expertise was recognized when the Grizzlies received the Minor League Baseball’s prestigious Bob Freitas Award, recognizing the team’s excellent operations and community engagement.

CEO of Lee’s says, “Derek’s proven leadership, operational discipline, and ability to build strong teams make him an outstanding addition to our Executive Team.”

“I’m honored to join Lee’s Air Heating & Plumbing at such an exciting time,” said Franks. “I look forward to working with the team to support continued growth and deliver exceptional service to the communities we serve.
