Maya Hawke is entering a new chapter.

The “Stranger Things” star and singer-songwriter will release her fourth album, “Maitreya Corso,” on May 1.  The album’s lead single, “Devil You Know,” is out now.

She also announced her first U.S. tour in three years, including a stop at the Chapel in San Francisco on April 18.

Tickets for the Chapel date go on sale 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at thechapelsf.com.

Hawke said she framed the project around a character she created – “a ‘magical misfit'” – as a way to explore “the positive and negative power of the ego.”

“‘Devil You Know’ is about trying to keep ambition and greed out of the creative process,” she said in a statement released Monday, March 2. “This album generally is about learning to protect the precious from the poisonous. Protect creation from pride. Protect love from control. Protect collaboration from jealousy.”

“Maitreya Corso” was written and recorded with singer-songwriter Christian Lee Hutson and multi-instrumentalist Benjamin Lazar Davis, with engineering and production by Hawke’s longtime collaborator Jonathan Low.

The project marks her second full-length collaboration with Hutson, who also worked on her 2024 album, “Chaos Angel.”

The album was recorded in fall and winter 2025 in Woodstock, N.Y., and New York City, with contributions from guitarist Will Graefe, violinist Odessa Jorgensen and drummer Michael Riddleberger.

The news comes weeks after Hawke married Hutson in a Valentine’s Day ceremony in New York City. It also follows the conclusion of Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” which wrapped its fifth and final season at the end of 2025.

Hawke’s father, actor Ethan Hawke, recently shared career advice for his daughter following her run on the long-running series.

“Time to move on,” he said in an interview with Variety. “You got to do it, and move on. Don’t look back.”

Before launching her April tour dates, Maya Hawke and Hutson are scheduled to perform Tuesday at the annual Tibet House U.S. Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The benefit lineup also includes Philip Glass, Laurie Anderson and Debbie Harry.
