[NoHo Arts District, CA]  – The Hollywood Fringe Festival, a mainstay of Los Angeles live performance since 2010, returns for its 16th anniversary with an expanded 10th anniversary Scholarship Program. Established in 2016, the program exists to expand and diversify the pool of artists producing work at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Since its inception, the initiative has funded works by 128 producing teams.

This year, 12 artists will bring their work to the 2026 Hollywood Fringe Festival through the Scholarship Program. Funded by Hollywood Pantages Theatre and County Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath, recipients receive free festival registration, a stipend toward venue and production costs, and theatrical producing mentorship sessions.

“The Scholarship Program was in jeopardy this year due to budget cuts in local government. The Hollywood Pantages Theatre stepped right in when we needed them most to keep this essential Hollywood Fringe program,” says Lois Neville, Hollywood Fringe Co-Executive Director. “We’re beyond grateful for the support and the endorsement this new partnership provides these incredible playwrights.”

“The Scholarship Program makes the Hollywood Fringe stand out on the map, and I couldn’t be more excited about this year’s cohort,” says Ellen Boudreau-Den Herder, Hollywood Fringe Co-Executive Director. “Each show challenges the body of work being produced in Los Angeles and creates lasting change within the Hollywood community and beyond.”
