Just before 11:30 am, police received calls to respond to the 400 block of Maine Avenue. Upon arrival, they found that three people — two small children and an adult woman — who had been struck by the SUV in front of their apartment complex, and were badly injured.
Responding officers rushed the badly injured girl to a hospital where she died, Lt. John Hotchkiss of the Long Beach Police Department told OnScene TV.
