LONG BEACH, Calif. – Gavin Sykes earned Big West Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after two high-scoring performances to help the freshman reach the highest scoring mark for that class in school history. Over two games, Sykes averaged 33.5 points per game including a career-high on Saturday, scoring 39 points at Cal State Bakersfield which included the game-winner in the closing seconds.
