BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A fire to a semi-truck is slowing traffic along I-5 in the Grapevine south of Bakersfield.

A fire to a semi-truck was reported in northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Grapevine Road just after 11 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol’s Traffic Incident Information Page.

Flames from the fire briefly spread to the hillside, CHP said, but firefighters have gotten it under control. Traffic is being stopped for emergency crews. Expect slowdowns in the area.

Caltrans cameras showed traffic stopped in northbound lanes near the escape ramp south of the Grapevine Road exit.
