FAMILY MEMBERS HAVE IDENTIFIED HIM AS DUSTIN DEWITT. HE WAS 21 YEARS OLD. POLICE SAY HE AND A WOMAN WERE STABBED NEAR THE YARD HOUSE RESTAURANT IN DOCO JUST BEFORE 945 LAST NIGHT. THEY WERE BOTH TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WHERE HE LATER DIED. THE WOMAN’S CONDITION HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED.

Family members on Tuesday identified a man killed in a double stabbing in the Downtown Commons shopping area.Dustin DeWitt, 21, of Stockton, was killed and a woman was injured after being stabbed on Monday night.Sacramento police said they responded to the 400 block of K Street just before 9:45 p.m., where they found the victims. They were taken to the hospital, where DeWitt was pronounced deceased. Details on the condition of the woman were not released.Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to take over the investigation. The police activity focused on the intersection of J and 4th streets and at the DOCO complex near the Yard House restaurant. Police said they were searching for possible suspects. A GoFundMe campaign to raise money for DeWitt’s family had raised more than $15,000, as of Tuesday afternoon.
