Police in Oakland are searching for a man suspected of prowling through yards, peeping into windows and watching people inside their homes.

The Oakland Police Department on Tuesday released photos of a suspect and said since mid-December it has received six reports of a man walking through yards, peeping into windows while residents are inside, and engaging in inappropriate behavior.

OPD is releasing photos of a suspected prowler linked to several incidents in East Oakland.
The individual is seen entering residents’ yards, peering into occupied homes, and engaging in inappropriate behavior.

The suspect has been spotted several times along Allendale Avenue, according to neighbors. Police said the suspect has most recently been reported being spotted between 8 and 10 p.m. in the Maxwell Park neighborhood.

Police said extra patrols are in place in the neighborhood as they work to identify the suspect, who was last seen wearing a black jacket, white sweatshirt and blue jeans.
