COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San José State’s Zoe Ewell and Ethan Fong have been named to the Mountain West All-Conference team following their standout performances at the 2026 Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Spartan duo combined for two podium finishes over the three-day event held at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
Ewell placed first in the women’s 200m dash prelim with a time of 23.95 on the first day of the championships.
On the second day of the event, Ewell placed first in the women’s 60m dash prelim in both of her heats and overall out of 25 competitors with a time of 7.30.
She rounded out the weekend on the podium, placing second in the women’s 60m dash final with a time of 7.33.
On the second day of the Mountain West Indoor Championships, Fong placed third in the men’s long jump, jumping 7.49m (24’ 7”).
He finished the championships with a podium finish, coming in second in the men’s triple jump, jumping 15.25 (50’ 0 ½”).
