The San Diego-based foster youth advocacy group Voices for Children held its signature event, called “Uplifting Voices” at a private La Jolla venue on Feb. 24.
Proceeds from the event fund Voices for Children efforts to recruit, train and support Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers who speak up for the needs and well-being of children in foster care. According to the organization, Voices for Children was founded in San Diego in 1980. In 2015, it expanded to serve children in Riverside County foster care.
